August Wrap Up

‘Truly Devious’ by Maureen Johnson: 2/5. Predictable and underwhelming. Did not like the relationship, hate to love did not work in this book, at all.

The House in the Cerulean Sea’ by T.J. Klune: 5/5. LUCY IS SO CUTE OKAY AND LINUS HAS MY HEART.

‘The Vanishing Half’ by Brit Bennett: 3/5. Don’t get me started. The idea and writing of this book, BEAUTIFUL. Execution? Lacklustre. I was so disappointed.

‘Intercepted’ by Alexa Martin: 3.5/5. I needed Marlee and this story was a romance story I did not expect. Fun and KEWT.

‘The Bromance Book Club’ by Lyssa Kay Adams: 5/5. Nah guys, this was such great fun. Such a great laugh. Men getting round to read romance to save another man’s marriage? SIGN ME TF UP.

‘You Should See Me in a Crown’ by Leah Johnson: 5/5. “Good people mess up too, but that doesn’t mean we should let it slide.” I loved this book, wow. I have a full review on my blog, 10/10 would recommend.

‘Pet’ by Akwaeke Emezi: 4/5. I went through some existential ish with this book. Jam is a gorgeous character, with gorgeous parents. I can’t lie, you will question what it means to be an angel.

‘The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo’ by Taylor Jenkins Reid: 5/5. I am in awe at the genius of the book. The mystery surrounding Monique and why Evelyn chose her to write her story was GREAT.

‘Undercover Bromance’ by Lyssa Kay Adams: 3.5/5. Not as fun as The Bromance Book Club, but interesting character development. Mack is BAE.

‘Warcross’ by Marie Lu: 3/5. It could have been so much better, the ending was predictable but I can admit that maybe I missed the train for this alternate universe.
